    The Eastern Region prince sponsors the Job Fair events in its sixth session in October.

    Al-Khalidi: The exhibition reflects the keenness of the business sector to attract national talent

     

     

    His Royal Highness Prince Saud Bin Nayef bin Abdulaziz (Governor of the Eastern Region) will sponsor the sixth session of the Job Fair (2018 jobs) during the period (22-25 October 2018). It would be organized by Asharqia Chamber in cooperation with Dhahran International Exhibitions Company (Dhahran Expo), with the participation of a number of companies, institutions and governmental and civil authorities that are concerned with the development of human resources. The Job Fair would take place on the ground of the company's exhibitions in Khobar (Dhahran Expo).

     

    The Chairman of the Board of Asharqia Chamber, Abdulhakeem bin Hamad Al-Ammar Al-Khalidi, said that this session of this exhibition aims to support the efforts to settle jobs in the private sector, to highlight the role of the business sector in attracting national talent, to provide job opportunities for Saudi youth, reach ways of communication between the business sector on one hand and the training and employment service and providers and specialists in human resource management and employment on the second hand, and between these bodies and job seekers on the other hand.

     

    He honored the patronage of His Highness the Prince of the Eastern Region and his interest in this occasion and other events of Asharqia Chamber, which affirms His Highness's keenness and support for all that would support and develop human competencies and achieve their participation in the comprehensive development that are witnessed by the country in all fields, especially in the economic field.

     

    Al-Khalidi pointed out that the exhibition has achieved continuous successes in the past years, in addition to its contribution to the provision of thousands of job opportunities for the ambitious Saudi youth.

    It has contributed to the creation of a state of national mobility towards the most important issues of social development and the issue of Saudization of jobs, especially in the private sector, which is the most important channel and the most prominent to attract national talent to work or to qualify and gain experience.

    At the present time, the private sector is not limited to employment, but it has an active and visible contribution to the issues of education and training.

     

    He emphasized that Saudization currently is no longer a job opportunity for the Saudi young man; however, it has become a general condition for nurturing the general ambition of a promising Saudi youth, who are capable and looking forward to a better future.

    This is in light of the plans of the Kingdom to continue its development and excellence and accomplishing more national achievements with national hands, loaded with expertise and knowledge of a global character.

     

    He pointed out that this exhibition is an important channel for job seekers that opens the way for national talent, which is looking for job opportunities that highlight their energy, spread creativity, achieve their personal aspirations, and support our unlimited development option.

    He stressed that the human cadres is the basis in this country, regardless of his job location and place of work.

     

    Al-Khalidi said that the Chamber is looking forward to achieving more successes that took place last year as the exhibition registered a visit of more than 20 thousand applicants for work, amid the great interest of participating companies and beneficiaries.

    The number of participants in the exhibition was about 138 companies and institutions, which provided more than 7 thousand jobs. In addition to that, the prominent participation of some governmental bodies such as the Ministry of Labor and Social Development, Technical and Vocational Training Corporation, Human Resources Development Fund (HDF), and the Saudi Commission for Tourism and National Heritage.

    He stressed the keenness of the Chamber to complete more achievements than has been achieved in the past years.

     

    For his part, the Secretary General of Asharqia Chamber, Abdulrahman bin Abdullah Al-Wabel, said that the exhibition that is organized by the Chamber annually in cooperation with Dhahran Exhibitions Company (Dhahran Expo) reflects the keenness of the private sector institutions to attract Saudi youth on the one hand, and provides a platform for Saudi youth to learn about the new opportunities in line with their qualifications on the other hand, as well as the implications of the labor market of promising job opportunities, especially as the country is experiencing a major development boom, which requires the competencies, experiences and skills of Saudi youth.

     

    Al-Wabel explained that the importance of the exhibition appears in three basic aspects. The first is that the companies facing the challenge of providing qualified human capabilities. While the second side comes within the framework of the statement of the scientifically and practically qualified young man. The exhibition offers many options for applying his/her knowledge and experience.

    The third aspect is the intermediaries that train, educate, qualify and coordinate the relationship between the workers and the job seekers.

     

    He expressed the hope that the Job Fair will contribute to the success of the previous versions, which contributed to the recruitment of many national energies in important workplaces in private companies and institutions.​
